Dr. David D. Whitney
Dr. Whitney was born and raised in West Okoboji, Iowa and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1979. Prior to building Jordan Creek Animal Hospital in 1991, he worked for 12 years at a multi-doctor veterinary practice in Barrington, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Dr. Whitney is also very involved in the veterinary community and is currently serving as President of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA).
Dr. Whitney’s family consists of his wife Lorraine; daughter Lauren, an Iowa State University graduate; and son Daniel, a freshman in Veterinary School at Iowa State University. His family also includes an American Water Spaniel named Murphy and a cat named Yogi. In addition to spending time with his family and pets, Dr. Whitney enjoys photography and gardening.
Dr. Pam Erdman (formerly Bruellman)
Dr. Erdman, originally from West Bend, Iowa, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Iowa State University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from ISU in May 2005. Before joining the staff at Jordan Creek Animal Hospital in January 2006, she practiced at a pet hospital in Darien, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Dr. Erdman and her husband Matt share their home with their dog Clover and cat Ace. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing guitar and piano, boating and reading.
Dr. Wendy Johnson
Dr. Johnson was raised in West Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Simpson College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Management in 1989. She then received her MBA in 1991 from the University of Iowa. After graduating, she worked in corporate marketing and brand management. In May 2003, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. She immediately came on board as a doctor at Jordan Creek, where she had served as a veterinary assistant and receptionist during veterinary school.
Dr. Johnson and her husband Joel have two beautiful daughters as well as a Golden Retriever named Maggie. She truly enjoys spending time with her family (both human and furry!) as well as cooking and swimming.
Dr. Anne Kueter
Dr. Kueter, originally from Freeport, Illinois, received her Associate of Arts degree from Highland Community College in 1990 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1992. She then was accepted into the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997. During veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary technician and completed preceptorships at wildlife rehabilitation centers and the Kansas City Zoo. Dr. Kueter joined the staff of Jordan Creek Animal Hospital in March 1997.
Dr. Kueter and her husband Troy are parents to two wonderful children. They also have a Shepherd mix named Indy and two cats, named Tequila and Munchkin. In her free time, she enjoys road and mountain biking, camping, crafts, scrapbooking, and travel.
Dr. Leah Moore
Dr. Moore resides in West Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University and studied Animal Ecology before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1985. Between the years of 1985 and 1999, Dr. Moore was in small animal practice in the suburbs of Chicago. She came to Jordan Creek Animal Hospital in May 1999.
Dr. Moore has one daughter, Susanna, and four cats, Zak , Sylvie, Barney and Olive. When she isn’t busy chasing after her daughter, she enjoys wilderness travel, gardening with native plant species, reading, and bicycling.
Dr. Kim Wilke
Dr. Wilke was born in Madawaska, Maine. She attended Northern Maine Technical College, receiving her Associates degree in Business Administration in 1988. Between the years of 1988 and 1994, she worked in law and banking. She then went back to school at Saint Joseph’s College and received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1999. She enrolled in veterinary school at Iowa State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May 2003. She came on board at Jordan Creek in December 2003. She particularly enjoys the areas of geriatrics, nutrition, and behavior.
Dr. Wilke and her husband Chris have two gorgeous children, a cat named Kit, and a poodle named Charlie. Her favorite activities and interests include auto racing, photography, camping, reading, and playing with her children.
